As a preschool teacher, it is my privilege to empower each student to be a lifelong learner, develop a passion for learning and thirst for knowledge. At this age, education is more than ABC’s and 123’s. While I consider myself to be an academically based teacher, there are many other pieces involved in educating the whole child. Preschool is about introducing the children to academics, encouraging and building confidence, developing self-help and social skills, promoting independence. It’s about learning through play. Having fun, and letting kids be kids while maintaining the appropriate classroom behavior. Preschool should be fun but effective while fostering, a positive and comprehensive educational experience.
